Our client, EBO, didn’t just want to document the construction of the Eslöv Distillery but create a film series that conveys the history behind the building and the engineering artistry behind the renovation. The goal was not only to inform about the construction process but also to create an emotional connection to the building’s unique heritage, with a particular focus on the significance of reuse.
To meet these requirements, we designed each episode with a strong dramaturgical structure and hooks that placed the most dramatic moments at the beginning of each film. By following the project manager at EBO, we added a human dimension to the series, providing viewers with insight into the challenges that arise daily in coordinating ten different collaborating contractors.
We employed various visual styles, documentary elements, and super 8-inspired sequences to create films with high intensity and visual richness. By integrating the history of the Distillery with architectural insights and a focus on reuse, we created not only informative but also engaging episodes. The end result exceeded expectations and became a powerful tool to generate interest in the upcoming apartments in the building. The series has engaged viewers and created a lasting connection between them and the project, precisely what we aimed to achieve.
